During the 90s the majority of Hollywood Feature Films were edited using this console - The Mark 1 Lightworks Editing Systems Console. Designed to look and feel like using a Steenbeck the lever offered analogue-style playback of digitised rushes. In 1994 Simon Kotowicz worked for Lightworks Editing Systems where he created a CGI version of the console using 3D Studio R4, which ran on DOS. The animation was rendered on a 33MHz IBM 486 with a whopping 2MB of RAM at 320x240 pixels, and was turned into an animated GIF, which still pops up on various internet sites to this day.
